NID-HCA works with non-profits, public agencies and faith-based organizations to educate them on the process of effectively and efficiently developing affordable housing and affordable housing programs in their local communities. NID-HCA has a national track record in successfully strengthening community based organizations through fair and affordable housing development opportunities. Build new, rehabilitate old and/or convert commercial property to residential mixed use affordable housing/retail/commercial complexes, and provide social service components to your efforts. NID-HCA also provides training programs to Faith-based orgs., Community Groups and Industry Groups.
Community Development Counseling
The majority of our community development counseling efforts are directed to faith-based institutions, community development corporations, and local, non-profit housing organizations. First, our counselors inform the members of the opportunities and responsibilities of both affordable housing development and community development generally. After extensive, fact-finding discussions, we help the community organization quantify its existing development capacity and determine its potential for expansion. We further identify and research the wide array of private and governmental resources available for community development programs. Once a project is initiated, NID-HCA stands ready to provide ongoing support and information requested by our clients.

predatory lending practices. All matters of possible discrimination and
abuses in the lending industry will be addressed under this counseling
subset. NID-HCA will help put the client in contact with regulatory departments
and assist clients in submitting complaints where warranted by law.
