Why is NID-HCA needed?
NID-HCA is needed to help bring together counselors, organizations and individuals who may not normally have the opportunity to connect and share information and ideas about how to help increase access to fair and affordable housing opportunities. By organizing educational seminars and providing partners with valuable resources and information, NID-HCA can help its partners gain a better understanding of the nations dynamic housing system as it is related to issues impacting urban/minority areas.

What is NID-HCA’S goal?
NID-HCA’s goal is to provide housing opportunity information and resources to its diverse network of counselors, partners & clients so that they may share this information with the communities they serve. NID-HCA listens to the needs of partners and works to present relevant information to them on an on-going basis. For example, NID-HCA partners asked for information about loss mitigation patterns and practices, and NID-HCA conducted a series of place based seminars addressing the subjects. When NID-HCA partners ask for information about how to advocate for themselves, NID-HCA will provided them with a communications outreach training program. NID-HCA continually works to address the needs of our partners and their constituents and clients
